Re: What is your favorite bob marley song ?

I was sitting at Sun Beach tonight for sunset and they were playing one of the 'Songs of Freeedom' CD's - the one with 'Guava Jelly' on it, and I was just listening to the music; the bass track, the vocals the 'chunka-chunka' rhythm and I said to the guy sitting beside me, "What if he'd lived on, imagine the treasury of music we would have, imagine the direction Bob would have steered Jamaican music."
The guy nodded, agreed with me.

Bob passed when he was 36 years old - think of that. Just 36. Think of what he did in those short years.
    The gift, the legacy.

As the sun set we listened to 'One Love' - maybe it sounds cliche, but, really, it is a timeless piece of music, the lyrics, the message, the rhythm, that bass track that grabs you from the first bar.

I don't really have one favorite, there are many - I'm just thankful for what he left us.
One Love, Bob - thank you. . . thank you . . . thank you

It changes, but right now, i will say trenchtown rock, from rastamon vibration 'live' in portland, 1978. That album has great sound with a definite 70s tube amp feel and great srereo seperation. The whole thing is excellent!
