I would not rely on a third party quote without getting in touch of the driver personally. The quote could be from an older price list (the cost of gas has raised substantially in Jamaica over the past 6 months) or the driver may be busy that day.

There are plenty of great drivers who get mentioned here all the time, and they answer their emails and handle their calls in timely fashion...

I would deal directly with the driver about a quote and make sure the driver is insured to carry passengers (red plate).

If you find yourself stranded at the airport for some reason, you can walk out into the JUTA lot and book a ride to Negril for approximately $20 - $25 per person one way. They will take you to your hotel. It is a shared ride so you will stop at other properties along the route. Airport staff will tell you where the lot is.

Plenty of flexible transportation options are available and negotiable. Fares will vary according to your needs; private charter vs. shared ride, number of people in the party, amount of luggage, destination.

Vince...if you are arriving as a single I recommend either Juta or Clives for a shared ride.
If you're arriving with 2 or more people I recommend a private ride with Kenny at kennyjamaica@gmail.com....he will provide an email confirmation of your transportation. I believe he is still $60us (one way) for 1-3 people & includes free cell phone use (Digicel) & beverages (inc Red Stripe) on arrival.

We enjoyed the trip to Negril with Alfred. For the ride back he subcontracted a driver to take us to MBJ, but that was OK. Alfred doesn't mind stops, has a free phone for you to use and will have cold RS for you, if you ask in advance! He also will provide a cooler for your MegaMart purchases, again, if you ask. It was $100 r/t for two.

Vince, for that kind of $$$ have you thought about renting a car?
