Trip Report Dec 1st - 15th - Relaxing and Chillin !

Saturday

We arrived into MoBay at 11:30am and breezed through customs. No sooner out the door and John and Anita were ready to whisk us away to our favourite home away from home.

We enjoyed catching up on news and quenching our thirst with a couple of red stripes, before we knew it we had arrived at Seastar. Definitely like coming to visit family and benefiting from the warm friendly staff that work at Seastar.

Arriving by 1:30 in the afternoon really was a pleasant change for us so we could drop our bags and enjoy our first official drink at the bar with John and Anita. My first order was the jerk chicken salad which is my most favourite light meal at Seastar. My other is the Grilled Mahi Mahi - cooked to perfection!

Seastar had our table reserved for the big show that night - Luciano ! Mamade1 and hubbie and Cherry North and Sunshine joined us for the evening festivities. Regrettably I have no pictures of Luciano as I was up front dancing my derriere off and did not carry my camera with me. You might have seem Mamade1 and I trying to follow the steps of the Seastar dancer - she wanted us to shake our booty but for the life of me - I just couldn’t get it to perform Great night had by all!

Tuesday

Spent the day at Seastar and reserved dinner at Catcha. The entrée of crab cakes were delicious.
We caught a great sunset that night.
When we got back to Seastar we went to the bar before closing off our night.
Chris introduced me to Tawnee whom I had not had the pleasure of meeting before. Great gal that Tawnee is and we enjoyed a number of good times together.

Geez some how I skipped by Sunday and Monday

Sunday

I was shocked the next day to discover we had slept in until 11:30am - that has not happened since, before kids - 27 years ago - Wow - I must have partied like a rock star.
I worked on my cell phone which I had brought down from Montreal, Anita had picked up a Sim card for me and a 1000 ja card - the SIM with tax was another 800 JA - installed the SIM and voila I was in business. I had the chicken wings about 3 times during my 2 weeks - they were delicious.

Monday

Each morning I quietly leave our room while honey bun is still snoring away. I go down with my mug and book and make myself some toast and or blueberry muffin and go up to the pool for a little me time. Usually Delroy is doing his thing around the pool - sweeping - wiping off the cushions and cleaning the pool. Barbara or Clarol are getting the juice for folks and taking care of their special orders for breakfast. I saw Percy and we talked about the family. His son Tyrane who bartended at Catcha had gotten married and was now foreign - sad I wasn’t going to get to see him this trip but happy he had found the girl of his dreams and was now off on a new adventure.
We grabbed the shuttle down to Sunbeach at 11:00 to enjoy their hospitality for the day.
When we got back to Seastar there was a gang staying there from Manitoba. There were 18 of them and celebrating a 50th birthday. The gals all dressed up fancy like and the gents had these tuxedo - T-Shirts - they had a party that night !

Wednesday

Another Pool day. Akima brought her little sweetheart Liah over for us to see - just 3 months old - what a cutie. Tawnee and I took some pictures of the new rooms at Seastar - this is a great addition to Seastar.
I think I officially met Marko this day - very nice gentleman.

Irie always it was great meeting you and hubby and thank you for reserving that wonderful table!! It was a great show and great time. And thank goodness there are no pictures of that booty shaking, we all know mine did not cooperate at all!!

mamade11 - my dancing partner! did you ever get to your excursion the day after Canoe? I believe it was raining the next morning and thought about you guys.

Thursday

Tawnee along with honey bun and I went to the Canoe bar in the afternoon. This was our first time visiting canoe and it certainly won’t be our last. The “rock-a-boat” drinks for happy hour were certainly making me happier with each refill and honey bun was challenging the bar gal to make those Caesars - hotter ! John and Anita dropped by for a drink. Shortly after they left we ordered dinner while listening to the refined steel band players. I had the pineapple ginger chicken and honey bun had the lion fish - I must say it is very tasty and good!
I think I stood in front of the camera trying to say hello to my sister while talking to her on the phone, so some of you I’m sure saw that drunk lady on Rob’s webcast
