Sitting on our porch. Man just drove by on the sidewalk on his motorcycle. Yesterday at 7:30 we had a guy come by asking for a beer. Same crap - different day. Old management back. Things were good for a week. So much for the good thoughts we had for this place.

Well, that's disappointing. What'd he do, make promises that he will not keep again? Sheesh. My hopes for the place to actually turn around are dashed.

I'm glad to get updates on the Beach Club but I hate that it continues to get worse.
I am just commenting on what I see and know. Will try to update every couple of days. I feel anyone coming here and staying with Jean (Negril Beach Club Condos) will have no issues. (Unless the power goes again and they bring in diesel generators.. which are noisy and smelly!) As far as the hotel and timeshares.. everyday is something new. We did get clean towels and room service yesterday so that was good. Delrose indicated she would be back today. Until the staff comes in at about 8 or 9 who knows who else will be here. The gardens here are beautiful. If everyone took as much pride in the property as Junior this would be a "several star" location. Marko.. will be nice to hear your friend's take on the place. Are they staying in the hotel or with Jean? Yvonne.. pray that the lawyers get this worked out before your next trip. My only thought at this point after over 20 years staying here... not sure I'd come back until I knew what the lawyers work out.

I was a timeshare owner and now stay in the condos but my level of concern about the entire property has gotten greater over the past few trips...the latest trip was November. I do hope the lawyers work this out and get rid of Raz Ofer. I was just told yesterday that Ms McNeil has taken her share back and the front desk staff that Raz recently brought in have been let go.
I agree that Junior does a great job on the gardens - he really takes pride in his work and it shows.
As of 4:00 today Raz's staff is still at the desk. They came back on Saturday.
That place is a mixed bag for sure. I stayed 4 times on Jean's part of the place--she was always so good to me. One time she put me in a ground floor unit that seriously smelled like something had died in there, plus it was really dark. She moved me within minutes to an upper floor nice room. But last time I stayed for the first time on the Mariners side of the runnings and it was awful. Tons of cockroaches and the cleaning person didn't really clean. Plus there were a couple of young guys staying upstairs from me that kept hitting on me. One even went so far as to come to my door with a lady in tow asking me to dinner--I guess he thought I would go for it and feel comfortable if he had a lady friend with him after his other tactics dive bombed. I do like the beach there-- and also the full kitchenettes since I like to cook--but the place felt iffy last time, and honestly I didn't feel safe.
Just got off the phone w/ my somewhat inside source on the runnings there... because the whole mess up is tied up in court, Ofer is back in. Somehow he manages to work the legal system to his benefit but when it comes to him following the law, it doesn't apply. I don't get it, probably never will. He must be doing at least enough to get the courts to back him up or... we know the other possibility to help him get what he wants. I love this place but hate what he has done to it by not paying the fees that cover the expenses to maintain the property. It's one thing when people can't afford to pay, totally different when one chooses NOT to pay, especially when so many unit/rooms are under his control. Now that he seems to have grabbed the TS rooms too, that's even more $$$ not being paid for the upkeep of the property. I hope I can make it through the next few summers before I give up all hope. Jean & the NBCC... I'll still stay w/ her any time!
