Will be staying with jean next week not worried. But I am frustated with the way that creep operates.
I don't have the slightest idea of where I would stay if not at this property but with the way that creep is operating he is going to start running away the loyal guests.
It's the shared amenities like water, electricity, bar/restaurant and grounds that the creep is really affecting for visitors to the property.
I read so much negative stuff about this place from you Beach Clubers & the constant not knowing what your walking into to start your Negril Chill. I can't see putting up with it...Jean or not. I get the loyalty thing but at what cost during your vacation. I've stayed at 3 different properties over the last 20 years....the current one coming up on 7th (Sunset on the Cliffs)..love this little gem.....& will continue til it gives me a reason to move on.....but don't see that happening soon. Just one mans opinion.
There are so many positives for many of us, plus there are those of us who own timeshare units. Sooooo... we're pretty much locked in to the property unless we want to throw away our investment. You'd only know why we remain loyal if you'd stayed there yourself 20, 30, 40 something times. I have to say, I've checked out other properties looking for what the Beach Club offers... nothing comes remotely close. Excellent beach, location is an easy walk to town, gym right across the street, quiet... not near anything that produces a lot of noise, great food nearby, etc., etc., etc. The rooms are clean & comfortable. I'd be lucky to get a basic room, maybe one w/ a small fridge, elsewhere for the same price. I tried a few times & paid more but was always disappointed. The Beach Club is a unique gem. The POS running the place is the problem. I just hope the courts resolve this sooner than later, preferably all at once rather than piece by piece as they seem to be doing.

I am a loyal Beach Clubber through Jean but I have noticed the last 2-2.5 years things on property getting shadier and shadier. You will never beat the price or value for the rooms but the property has other aspects getting a little unsettling.
Not looking to start a debate about the topic but what I don't understand is how JA justice does not get carried out on the Ras causing problems. Generally what I have seen before is if a person on that side is causing problems with tourists or tourism it tends to work itself out amongst the people. What is so special about him this isn't happening now?
Children Are Our Tomorrow !
Raz lives in Israel & has others running the place for him. A local is not pulling this nonsense. The same individual has been found guilty of tax evasion in the US (NY state) for not paying tourism taxes on rooms he rented there. In JA, he is not paying the Strata fees on the rooms he "manages". Strata fees are similar to condo fees. Slightly different scam, different locale. He also comes from a wealthy family & has $$$.
Wow this is nuts. Read through this thread with no prior experience with the Beach Club/BCCC besides what I've heard on this forum. Seems like a really raw deal for the side of the property that is doing right. Googled this Raz character and he seems like a real PIECE...amazing what some ppl can get away with. I sure hope that this get's resolved soon and you faithful Beach Clubbers can go back to the regularly scheduled activities of just lovin Negril with no worries. Ugh.
Stir IT UP
This is what I am hoping also!
Rooster - Like ShellyK has said, it's also been the last 2 1/2 years for me that I've seen the decline and my anxiety level rises as each trip approaches over not knowing what to expect BUT there really are so many other positives about the property that keep me going back. Truthfully, I am considering somewhere else for my May trip and my XMAS/NYE trip but I have yet to find a comparable property. I just can't pull away just yet.
