At least 43 cm fell today in Montreal

Broke the record today - back in 1969 we had 37 - somebody must have said - Let it Snow - Let it Snow and it did!
Watching the Canoe webcast earlier and jealous as hell. Oh well - at least we were here to deal with it, could have been worse and happened 2 days ago.

Crap. Really? I hadn't noticed! I thought it was only 25! Tough to tell with all the whirling and swirling! I love the shovelling game.
    1. The service comes and plows your driveway so you can get out
    2. You go out, start your car, clean it off (get those windows clear!) and dig it out.
    3. Just as you're ready to drive it off ...
    4. Along come the city plows and leave a huge mound at the end of your driveway that you can't drive through
    5. Dig out what they have pushed on you (using every French and English swear word known ...) and ...
    6. Your car is so covered again, you have to clear it again -
    7. Dig out the car get it all cleaned and you are good to go and .....
    8. OH NO, MR. BILL! IT'S THE CITY PLOW AGAIN! You're socked in ....
    9. Screw it. It ain't worth it ....
    10. Go back inside the warm and search FLIGHTS TO NEGRIL .... NOW! Price not an issue!
    11. Oh crap! The servers just crashed ......

Snowing here, Downing Wi, as I type, will get same as Minneapolis when it is all said and done. Got that 16", all at once, a couple a three weeks ago, no fun.

I will be skiing on the 9th and on the beach less then 24 hrs later. Guess which one I'm looking forward to more. I'm expecting to start with 43cubic centimetres of snow cold red stripe on landing at MBJ.

We got around 30cm yesterday, still have to dig out the end of the driveway. I'm really wondering why we came home

When we lived in northern Idaho, the snow plows had a wing they would drop when going by a driveway to keep the snow from filling in. It was really nice. Even the big graders had them. No such thing in Wisconsin. The berm at the end is not only higher than the snowfall but usually hard as rocks so you hve to use a metal spade to get thru it. I'm really looking forward to sand at the end of the driveways and not snow...Soon Come.

28.2cm here in Moncton NB. Heavy and wet. Sand would be much nicer.

I love living in southern Ontario - we got about 6 inches of snow and hopefully that's it for the season (and I still *itch and complain . )
Don't waste your time with explanations, people only hear what they want to hear.
