Hehe - I honestly don't remember! There wasn't a lot of cheese. Not your typical American pizza, but it was good. I had heard for years about the lobster pizza, so I figured that we would give it a try. I ordered the veggie pizza in case I didn't like the lobster. I have a thing about seafood on pizza or seafood in general, if it smells fishy, I gag - reminds me of opening a can of cat food!
I feel the same way when I'm in Negril I dont get much sleep 4-5hrs tops! lol... I'm so wired and want to get all my time in while there...
Great trip report great pictures like your writing style, simple and right to the point.
So sorry for your losses (you brought tears to my eyes with the toast on Christmas) I wish you and your family better days in 2013!
Thank you all for your well wishes and kind words of support & condolences. 2013 will be a better year! I felt like the weight of the world was lifted off my shoulders when the new year began.AND Negril does help soothe a broken heart.....
Thanks for a great report and for sharing the pics. Much appreciated!

Boxing Day - Our last full day...I didn't sleep very much last night, as I knew today would be our last full day. As usual, I was up early and got my two up early to go to Alfred's. This is our last day, got to make to most of it! Another beautiful day! On the way back from Alfred's, baby girl finally breaks down & buys some gifts for friends at a vendor near Roots Bamboo. We were teasing her because the lady called her "princess" - that is the only reason she stopped! Hehe! Today is a full beach day. Hubby is going to get his drink on - woohoo, like that is any different from any of the other days! We float, drink, & have fun in the sun. We sit near the fence at the end of Rondel's property, as it is a little more shady there near the bar end. Hubby decides lunch will be from Best in the West. He takes off & baby girl & I stay on the beach for awhile. After an hour or so, we go back to the room in anticipation of our lunch. We wait about another 1/2 and I start to worry. Where is he? Did something happen? Hubby finally arrives...Best in the West was packed, big line of people. 1st he told us no chicky - just fish. You are sh*tting me....Then he spills his guts - had to wait for the chicken to come off the grill & 3 Red Stripes laterHe also brought us some grilled lobster - YUM! Chicken - not so good - could have stayed on the grill awhile longer
Back to the beach & more drinks. I go to have my last massage from Pat. She is such a nice person. I feel really good now. I meet hubby back at the beach. I want to go to LTU to watch the sunset and have dinner. I get voted down....It starts to get cloudy & starts to sprinkle. Everyone clears the beach. We head to the bar & have our last drink with Delroy. We go to the room & shower and I go to the beach to catch the last sunset. I go back to the room to see where we are going to go for dinner. The two redheads cave and we decide to go to LTU for dinner. First, we have to drink our bottle of Moet before dinner. Nice way to end our last day! Balo is accross the street sleeping in his car waiting for us. Hubby goes across the street to wake him up and away we go.
LTU is crowded, but we get the last table by the water - nice! I love this place - really love to watch the sunset from here too.... I order chicken Lola, Hubby has pan fried snapper, & baby girl has the seafood pasta. Good dinner. We order dessert - key lime cheesecake - "sorry we are out"! Ok, then we will have 2 pieces of chocolate cake to go! "Sorry, we only have 1 piece left". Allrighty then... Balo to the rescue. He stops at Jenny's cakes on the way home. Lemon & chocolate pound cake.
Back to Rondel. The minute we hit the door, the phone rings. It is the front desk asking what time we are checking out in the morning. Buzz killer.....Kingsley will be picking us up at 9:30. "What time do I need to come to the front desk to check out?" 9:00 will be fine. Hubby passes out & doesn't even eat any dessert. Baby girl & I have our cake and she goes to her room to pack. Me, I'm staying up late and am going to party to the wee hours. I don't need sleep. I can sleep on the plane!
LTU's Christmas tree. 2nd pic, not sure what happend, but it looks like I felt!
Big ups to all the sleep deprived vacationers!! That IS what the plane rides are for!! Love your style and thanks for sharing. I have that same likkle Xmas tree in my travel room. It is filled with Ja ornaments from the years.
Dec. 27th - departure day....I set my alarm for 6:00 a.m. - only 2 hours sleep. I had to go thru all our clothes & pack. I left the majority of our toiletries, suntan lotions, bug spray, & first aid kit for the housekeeping staff. Woke up my two sidekicks around 8:00. I showered & ran out to the beach one last time. Had to take a mental snapshot of the sights & smells this beautiful place has to offer. I'm not sure when we will be able to return - kind of makes me sad, but I am a much happier person now than I was 8 days ago!
No breakfast today - will have to catch something on the way. We go to the office to check out. They ask if I want to book for next year- man am I tempted! Kingsley is on time & we head to the airport. Little red is in the front seat. We stop in Hopewell for chicken patties to go. In notime we are at the airport. It only took about an hour - record time! We say our goodbyes to Kingsley & go inside. We check our bags - much lighter than when we arrived - that's a first! We check in with Club Mobay. There wasn't a big line at immigration or customs, so it really didn't save us much time. However, the lounge was very nice. We had an area all to ourselves & hubby had control of the tv!Would definitely use Club Mobay for departure again, especially during the busy season. Baby girl & I went shopping. Wow, that new duty free liquor shop is huge! In no time, it was time for us to board our flight to Charlotte. I told baby girl that she would have to put her liquor in her checked bag when we got to Charlotte before she boarded her connecting flight, but she & hubby blew me off. Easy flight to CLT, actually got there a few minutes early. HUGE line for immigration, customs - you barely knew you were going thru until they asked for your paper & said "have a good day"! Yep, baby girl had to repack her checked bags with her liquor......
This was the MOST WONDERFUL trip! I felt like a different person when we came back. Negril has that healing effect that I truly needed. Hmmm - just trying to figure out how soon we can get back! Peace
My final picture is a chair waiting for you! Sit back and enjoy, it is a beautiful view!
