    Rustic Cottages at Kuyaba

Happy New Year everybody!! Has anyone stayed in the rustic Cottages at Kuyaba?? I just booked one for February. They looked nice and are basic, but got a good deal. I would appreciate any info or past review. Hey, I will be in Negril for 7 nights, so its gotta be good.

Happy New Year! I can't speak directly on the rustic cottages, but we stayed at Kuyaba in May 2012 and wouldn't hesitate to go back. I agree they are a great value at a great location on the beach. When we checked in, we were greeted by our first names and the customer service continued to impress us all around. I can't begin to express how impressed I was of the bartenders, housekeeping, groundskeepers and security. It is a place I will continue to visit on every reach regardless of if we are staying there. One word of advice. Bourbon Beach is next door and some nights can get loud. I recommend taking a long nap and staying up late that night to enjoy the show.

P.S. Get the mountain pepper shrimp and a rum punch!

I have stayed at Kuyaba, not in the Rustic cottages but enjoyed my time there very much and will definitely stay there again. I whole heartedly agree with the mountain pepper shrimp suggestion... the coconut pie is to die for as well.. Enjoy!

Thanks for the replies!! I'm looking forward to staying there. I have eaten there a few years ago and the food was very good. I don't spend much time in the room anyway, so it should be fine. I spend my time out on the beach. I hope to get up to Bentleys and many other places I haven't been yet.

kuyaba is a great place to stay. Very private, quiet and lots of greenery. I have not stayed in the cottages but they dont look too rustic on the outside. Be aware they charge $5.50 a day to rent refrigerators...hope this helps.

Thanks kaycee. I guess I will just pay a little more for the fridge. Got to keep the red stripes cold!

I gotta recommend the Treetops/honeymoon room. not too much more money for a big comfortable room with a large deck. i think there was a refrigerator already in the room when i stayed there this nov.

I have stayed in every room type at Kuyaba. The cottages didn't have tvs if that matters to you. Enjoy!!
