    Wildthing

So my friend who worked on wildthing said that the boat was sold and he no longer had a job. Anyone know if someone local bought the boat and if it is still going to be in negril? Also my friend is a dive master looking for a new gig if any one knows someone looking for a someone?

My detective work was right! I saw the Scuba Caribre people who service Riu ferrying people from ricks to wildthing two days ago and wondered aloud if they were in business with Riu now.

Scuba Caribe is a seperate company not owned by the RIU chain, they contract with RIU for placement there. They are housed at the RIU properties on Jamaica Island but in many other locations are individually housed. It is a mis nomer that Scuba Caribe can only be booked by RIU guests. Non RIU guests can book any of the paid services trips with Scuba Caribe you come to the RIU Club front desk or book online and then go to the pickup point it tells you. In Negril pickup is only at Club RIU and you show up at front desk and a SC rep comes up to get you. In Ocho Rios SC will pickup all over town from your hotels. Diving classes in Ochie are onsite at RIU in classroom on beach.

So are the Riu hotels going to include the Wild Thing in their A.I. packages? If so that means the boat will be jammed every trp.

No. you need to pay for that type stuff through Scuba Caribe at their kiosk on the resort. It's like 50 a head for the Ricks cruise.

The Red Stripe is a good time. Many good memories there.
