    Welcome bfal16,

The Pelican Bar is pretty cool. We did it with YS Falls (beautiful and fun), but it's a long day. Are you looking for things to do just in the Negril area? For laid back and must see, sit on the beach and watch the world/vendors pass by. Pretty entertaining and uniquely Negril

Grand Pineapple is a great place, you should be able to have alot of fun from there.Take a walk up and down the beach ,stopping to have a drink at some of the small places along the way.Take a walk along the road one day(be careful,of some crazy drivers)and stop and get some jerk chicken from one of the venders with their barrels set up by the road.Grab a red plate taxi and hit the Canoe Bar for some awesome food and a beverage,if you drink alcoholic beverages their 2 for 1 punch is awesome and of coarse cold beers. The Jungle is a must do for us,it's a nice nightclub with lots of music and music videos playing on big screens(we are over 50 and had a blast there)!!You could do the One Love Bar Crawl that runs most Weds. up to the cliffs and see some nice little bars and restaurants and the sunsets from there are really awesome. There is alot to do in Negril just seeing the area in it's entirety.Spend a couple days being a beach slug and watching the people and the vendors. What ever you do, have an awesome time and come back and tell us how you liked it!!

Great spot on da beach. Take A walk on the beach left or right from GP . Leave the bling at home pack less clothes and take more cash. Limo Mon Soon Come

I'll second the One Love Bus Bar Crawl. It's a great way to visit the West End and check out some awesome roadside bars and incredible cliff views.

As for flavored rums, you may want to check out the Time Square Mall. We found a couple shops there that had a wide assortments of interesting rums. They even let us sample quite a few different varieties before we purchased anything.

Heard that Ms Hyacinth is back at the GP and makes the best omelets in the morning for you... don't try to do too much and just let the Negril vibe settle in... but do agree that YS Falls and Pelican Bar are great...also agree to try some of the bars and places to eat on the beach and road...some of the smallest places on the beach have the best food!!! and the "lolo's" on the road are pretty awesome too... there was a man that sold soups the last reach across the Street from Rooms which is not too far from where you are staying...goood good pumpkin soup... Enjoy and relax!

Thanks to everyone for the input...So it sounds to me that the number one thing that must be done while in Negril is..............chilaxing on the beach watching the days go bye, which is perfectly OK with us!
