Many blessings to you...your good guy..and would love if you posted some stories/pics from the old days...I first went in 82 and compared to now -its a world of difference -can only imagine how truly pristine it was back in early 70's....

Thanks for sharing and how do we find him to take the cave tour? We too have been taking clothes, eye glasses, and other items to a man that lives near Abecouta. He says it's like Christmas when we come. So nice to see him so happy.

For those of you who are itching for a cave tour or just want to meet someone a bit more off the grid, here is map to Markies in Red Ground. I usually pay him 1000 J per person for a tour and it takes at least an hour. Wear old clothes and takes some wipes to clean up afterwards. I always go to Miss Alices store for something to drink and ask if Markie is around. Sometimes he is carving where they all all the crafts on the beach at the river. Othertimes he is just hanging out in Red Ground. I am always very nice to Miss Alice and talk to her for a while. One of the entrances to the cave is behind her store.

Looks a lot like the house I had up in Red Ground, except I had a full porch running the entire width of the front and I only had solid wood shutters for the windows. The run drumming on the tin roof was comforting and made for a nice cozy cool afternoon nap.

I did a little sanding and put on 2 coats of satin polyurethane and this now hangs in our livingroom.
