    Parasailing, Bucket list

Please help me do this. I wear glasses but want to be dipped, can we leave a backback on the boat? So afraid of heights, don't want to get sick, want someone to take pics from the ground to prove I did it. Sorry if this sounds silly but every year I chicken out and am sure I will enjoy it AFTER I get off the ground.

I don't like heights but love parasailing! Once you're up there, it is sooooo peaceful and quiet. I take a bonine before I go so I don't get queasy (motion sickness) so I asked them not to dip us. You can leave your stuff on the boat, they aren't going anywhere without you, but I wouldn't leave a lot of cash or valuables.

I also am afraid of heights but love parasailing. Wife ha done it for 20 years, starting with being shot up in the air and re-deposited to a swim platform out in the water, todays up and back from the rear of the boat is easy! I have taken a under water throw away camera up with me, great shots from up there, leave a camera on the boat with another couple to take pics of your flight, tell driver where you are staying, will take you by for land lubbers to photograph. A tip to the boat guys goes a long way.

We've used several operators over the years but Captain Quality has been the best. His first mate will take pictures or take a waterproof camera up with you and nobody can dispute the angle! A tip gets you extras but use common sense about leaving any valuables on the boat. My wife is deathly afriad of heights but, for some reason, loves parasailing. It is very peaceful and serene up there. Go for it.

Thanks Vikman. Do you know we will have a full moon by the 24th! Bouncing the anniversary dinner around. Actually thinking of doing the parasailing on the 19th while at Fun Holiday for the webcast or in the morning before the drunk crawl. We are stayig on the beach for a few days so might as well do it while we are there.

Never do this while drinking (or if the driver has been drinking). I had someone twist the lines on the parasail, ended up with roadrash down one side of my body and had to take a trip to the hospital from a wipeout while taking off (this was from an island takeoff, not a boat on Negril). You actually need to be clear headed - it is fun, but can be very dangerous if you are not careful.
