DON'T exchange at the airport. I came home yesterday and their rate was $74J/$1US. In Negril at the Cambio I was getting $90J/$1 (Candian but both are close).

SLP - Did you bring Canadian cash with you to exchange to $J at the Cambio? Did you have any issues exchanging $CDN? We're leaving Toronto Feb 4th and i'm trying to decide what to do money wise. Thanks!

bfal16 - not dangerous at all (in my opinion). I think the bars and buzzer are just precautions and many bank and cambios have the same thing or other safety systems in place. I have never felt unsafe there.
