Ok, so I guess I can't complain about waking up to 7 degrees F this morning. But mother nature did send a squall to us. It was strange. We were getting a few flurries when this thing came through and dropped a layer of ice in just a couple of minutes. It only affected about a one mile stretch of the highway. It happened so fast that is caused an 80 car accident. Yes, eight, zero. Happened just a couple of miles from my house.

Warning, at the very beginning, this video clip captures a victim receiving CPR and the man with the camera drops the F-bomb. The clip is titled "100 Car Pile Up", but the news reported around 80.

We are still building bridges in this temperature. You cannot touch the steel for too long though without sticking to it. Also, the work day begins 2 hours early for the guy who has to start up all the diesel equipment. Its also a pain when you drop a tool or bolt into 2 feet of snow. There is no sweat running into and stinging your eyes however on a day like today!
If you are worried about something, do something about it. If there is nothing you can do, why worry!
