    Re: Safety and security-random thoughts

years ago, I watched a young man retrieve a kite that had gotten hung up way near the top of a very "limber" tree,......
after watching the display of climbing ability, I thought...... "hmmmm....... dont matter what floor you stay on".......
But on the other hand the taller up the the room, the breeze and view is generally better.......
"One of the laundry gals pipes up ,,"LOOK AT DA BLOOD"
"YES,THAT WOULD BE MINE" I said as my leg that at first gave no pain, started dishing it out in large bunches........"

want more read our blog? our first trip.........http://negril.com/forum/entry.php?58...-The-Beginning

I got ripped off in the middle of the day on a business trip in San Juan while staying at a Conrad Hilton. Maid was cleaning my room, the thief walked in saying it was his room and he was leaving, packed all my stuff and left! I had just walked downstairs to jump in the ocean while the maid cleaned my room, problem is I always lock my stuff up but since she was there I felt safe. I was gone no more than 8 minutes!

It can happen to anybody anytime. Best practice is to take care of your stuff. Keep common sense in play at all times and don't make it easy for someone to thief you. We've been vacationing in Negril for the past 22 years and have been fortunate not to have had any problems. Unfortunately we've heard of too many visitors that have gotten ripped off and all too often were careless with their belongings. Take measures to protect your stuff and you will be fine. Enjoy responsibly.

Yeah, I use beer bottles in a bag in front of the doors, makes alot of racket.I did see the police investigate a attempted break-in where I stay.I asked the guest how bad they got hit.The said the theif never got in the room, thought it was strange that they would call police if they were not missing anything .
