Question Norma's on the Beach (Seasplash)

A few years back we ate there a couple of times and enjoyed the food and views. I don't see many comments on it anymore. Has anyone been lately and how was the food and atmosphere?

It was OK. Not like it was. A tad pricey for what it is.

Gotta keep it real. I hang at Seasplash all the time but the food is not fantastic -- though the bar and servers make up for it.

gerryg123,love those bartenders at Sea Splash! Dash,I agree about the price of the food at Norma's. I will also say that hubby and I love all the staff at SS! It's why we go back every year!

I was there just last week and it was much better than last year regarding the overall stay. The bar was more to my liking, the food was just as good.

Being 62 I am more to the laid back crowd, not like last year with the all night party atmoshere.

Jamaican Benedict was fantastic and Banana Pancakes were above average. We went yesterday. Can't say I like the bar changes. It used to be a nice place to sit and watchdog the world go by. Now the view is of big screen TVs.

for me personally, it's not on my must stop list on my daily beach tour.. However, the bartenders remember my GF from previous trips. Which is nice.

Thanks for the input. I think the last time we ate there was 2007?? and only dinner. It was excellent then. Best pumpkin soup I ever had. Sounds like I will put it in the probably not catagory this trip. We have only stopped for a drink once or twice that I remember over the years. Last year they had an OK band and a webcast so we stopped for that.

I am just doing the usual "where will we eat" pre trip thing, although if past history proves correct (and I bet it will) all the plans will go down the tubes shortly after the first redstripe.

We dropped by last week at lunchtime for the coconut shrimp. We liked it as much as ever.
