    This is interesting, because every year before this one I've booked seats on the left side of the plane, and always thought I had a good look at the island from off-shore coming in. The plane comes in from the north, to the west of the island.

    This year we sat on the right because the seat up front on the left was an extra $30 and I didn't want to pay that. The plane went down past the airport, turned, and came back, landing heading north on the runway. So we did get to see the island after the turn.

    Maybe this depends on wind direction?

    Sangter's runway is 07/25. Which is ENE 70º(east of north east) and WSW 250º (west of southwest)

    99.9% of landings are done into the trade winds on runway 70.
