I've been through a checkpoint a couple times with our driver, but never got stopped. Probably because our driver is clean-cut and has his JUTA tags up to date. One time, as we were driving down the road out of YS Falls, we saw the driver of the car in front of us throw a spliff out the window. He was a white plate, but he was transporting some tourists. Our driver said,"I know that guy. There must be a checkpoint up ahead". Sure enough, there was a checkpoint less than a mile up the road. The police stopped the white plate, but waved us through. We kept driving and didn't look back.
