    Antibiotics?

How hard is it to get an antibiotic in Negril? My wife gets bronchitis very easily and seems every time we travel to Negril she gets a good case. By the end of our trip she is kinda miserable.

Im not sure where to get antibiotics in negril, but im sure plenty of people will answer you soon. Your wife should go to the doctor prior to the trip and try to get the antibiotics from her regular Physician. That way she will have them if she begins to feel ill. (if she frequents her doctor often for bronchitis, hopefully he/she will be understanding)???

There are some good docs in Negril...Dr. Grant and some others. I'm sure your resort will hook you up if necessary. I would agree with being prepared. Check with your doc at home and let him know that you are going out of the country. I generally have many options ready....an antibiotic, lomotil (for diarrhea), stool softeners or ducolax supp. (for constipation), ASA, Tylenol, Aleve, Afrin nose spray, and a medrol pak...just in case. I definitely like to be prepared! One never knows when crap happens. Some cortisone cream is also a good idea or benadryl cream or capsules. Recent trip, bronchitis hit many guests. The Z-pac came in really handy.

Good luck and enjoy your trip!!

My husband needed antibiotics for an ear infection on one of our trips. The clinic by the beach fixed him right up.

Not to go totally natural here on you, but turmeric is great for congestion and mucus. Lots of turmeric root in JA. Just something to keep in mind to supplement the meds if she happens to come down with a case.

Some antibiotics are "sun" sensitive, meaning your wife could get really sick from exposing her skin while taking some antibiotics . Be sure to tell Dr. you are going south

Does your wife not take inhalers with her? Bronchitis is an inflammation of the bronchi, not a mucous infection? Just wondering??? I agree with everyone else... take an antibiotic with you.
