Rastabell, myself and 3 of my buddies went out with a couple of local guys and fished last October. Not a big boat, about a maybe 18 foot wooden boat. We had a great time, caught fish while trolling with 2, 8 foot what looked like tree branches. This is how they have fished since the beginning of time. No reels used, no fiberglass rods.
