ok first question, does the RPTB have a disco?

No - you have to go to the one at the RIU Club. We didn't go, but people from the RPTB have full exchange privelege with the Club.
Next question??
Hopefully you don't mind me jumping in and asking a question. Are there "rinse showers" near or on the beach?

It used to back when it was the only RIU in Negril. I remember our group closing it down the night after the marathon in 2002. What a party!
LOL Actually, I knew the answer to my first question - I was asked to post that by one of the people in our group who, for some strange reason, doesn't believe anything I say.
ANYWAYS....
Next question - what are the main differences between the Riu Negril and the Riu Palace?
But they'll believe a complete stranger?? LOL Ah well...
The beach at the RIU Palace really is fantastic, at the RIU Negril it's just okay. The RIU palace is newer and I think a little smaller. We took a walk up to the RIU Negril and found that is was more crowded, there were more kids and it just wasn't as nice as the Palace. We didn't spend a lot of time there, but that was what we thought.. One of the guys in our group grabbed a towel (it was ratty around the edges) to cover his head and when we got back to the Palace the towel guy was shocked "where did you get that?" he asked, took the towel, threw it out and gave him a fresh one.
We did get a drink and the booze seemed to be "lower end" than the Palace; can't comment on the food because we didn't eat there.
