    Negril river was "banked up"

While most tourists were having a wonderful time last week, some of the local fisherman and boat tour operators were in crisis. The sea had pushed sand into a bank and closed off the Negril river. The boats docked on the banks of the river couldn't get out and the boats outside couldn't dock in protected waters overnight putting what might be their most valuable possession at risk for damage.

Here is some pics I took over the course of a few days. They did hand dog a channel but were still worried as the "sea puts it back" Anyone there now with more current report I would be interested.

Sounds like they need a backhoe to open the river back up. Feel bad that they are stuck in or out of the river.

Wonder if anyone in Negril could source a drag-line? That would open it up and keep it open
