Someone sent this link to me on Facebook. I honestly never thought of In-Flight theft... Imagine when something comes up missing from our bags? We blame either the airport baggage handlers or maybe the resort staff when we get back... Hmmmm. There are some good tips included near the end on keeping your stuff....

Interesting article - I guess I'm not as trusting as most people - I would never put my camera, cash or passport overhead
I never put anything in the overhead bins. My carry-on is a small bag that I keep between my feet or under the seat in front of me.

while going thru security in miami last year, a man's laptop was stolen while he walking thru the xray machine deal.
the laptop made it thru security before he did.
i really felt for him.
now i make it a point not to lose eye contact with my electronics unless they're going thru the scanner.
