Heading to Negril December 28 to January 4th and trying to figure out when the best time to book flights would be. Flying out of Philadelphia and there is one non-stop with decent arrival time but really steep price. I know from a previous thread that 39 days out is the best time to book international flights but I'm worried about that particular week being booked early because of the holiday. Does anyone have any advice? Should i just pull the trigger? Thanks.
Can you book using something like Orbitz that has price assurance in case the price changes? I usually try to book my air 2-3 months ahead of time. I've booked as far out as 7 months ahead of time, but we ended up getting jerked around several times with flight changes, etc.. and what started out as a great deal quickly became not worth it...

Lax, The best I could find for that timeframe (I fly our of Philly on US Air ended up aging about 670 per ticket non-stop.
Things could change with the merger, but I don't know that it will be for the better.
Wait it out and keep checking. It could go down and maybe by then Fly Jamaica will start a flight out of Philly to MBJ.
i've booked in July for New Years travel and had the price go down around Sept so now I book beginning of Sept, have been pleased with the strategy so far
