I am so glad you had a great birthday.....I was worried when you first mentioned not being so happy with your trip to Jakes, that really sucks about the food situation, I surely wouldn't think you would have had that much trouble finding Ital food, but I am sure glad to hear that you had such a nice time on your big day, it sounded wonderful!

it's been my experience that one does not need pre-booking in porty or treasure beach. negril too for that matter . . . just show up, you won't have to sleep on the beach. plenty to choose from.

Hi. Did you write a note to Jakes to explain your experience and disappointment with the food. I have eaten there a handful of times,along with Jack Sprats...expensive but generally good or at least fun but I think they would appreciate the information. I think Jason Henzell is the owner.
They knew we weren't happy. Didn't seem to care. I'll be logging a review on Trip Advisor.
Treasure Beach has several places to eat, but you have to search them out, not sure about the vegan stuff though. I stayed there one time in the off season and the first two nights I waited too loong for dinner and missed out!
