Has anyone used Seastar shuttle from MBJ?

Just wondering if anyone has..They asked us if we needed a ride, to give them our flight info and I was just wondering if this is a better option than using another service.. I don't know if they make stops, whether we need to,whether they will be able to take others or just 2 of us(seems a waste of resources), if the cost is better or worse...Has anyone utilized the Seastar transport from the airport?

My experience is similar to captaind. On one occasion Chris (SS owner) was the driver to Mbay & the other time Percy (from Percy's Retreat) drove the SS van. The price was similar to the least expensive for private transport that I have seen from Mbay to the West End, $25 pp one way. JUTA Negril has the same rate but they make several stops along the way & their vehicles are heavily used. SS van is sweet.

    Happy trails

We've used the Seastar shuttle before and were very pleased. Henry is a great guy. He'll stop wherever you want to get a drink or just take a break.

Lisapat, it has been a few years, but I used Seastar many times and always great service and on time.

One time Chris picked me up during slow season. We were so busy getting caught up on the runnings, that he forgot to stop for gas. As we are pulling into Lucea the engine starts to sputter. Bumba Clot Ras Clot and so forth. Engine quits and we roll into the Texaco Station in Lucea!! All good...

    Enjoy,

Last year Henry asked if we wouldn't mind waiting a little longer at the airport to wait for a couple from Canada. We said no, that's OK. We had a couple of Red Stripes at the bar and waited. Once the other couple arrived we took off and had a really great time talking with them. The more the merrier...

I've never used the Seastar shuttle for transport from MoBay to Negril, but one time the shuttle (driven by Henry) stopped for my wife and I as we were walking along the West End Rd. We were heading toward the beach and the shuttle was heading back to Seastar. Henry stopped and asked us if we needed a ride. I said, "That's Ok, we're heading the opposite direction". Henry told us to hop in, anyway. He turned the van around and dropped us off at Sun Beach, without even asking for money. Of course, we gave him a nice tip.

Did I mention that we weren't even staying at Seastar?

I know that I'm slightly off-topic, but my point is that the driver is awesome and the shuttle is very clean and comfortable.
