Any recommendations? What would we catch in early April?
Anyone going early april looking to join us (3 guys) - I priced stanleys - if we can get a couple more to join us, it would be about 150 pp.

I have been fishing with Capn Stanley....you will have a blast!
We have been fishing with Stanley several times and he is always very careful to say that "this is a fishing boat, NOT a catching boat," so yes, like any deep sea fishing trip I've been on, it's hit or miss. There was only one trip (out of 6) that no one on the boat caught anything. Two trips we ran into a school of tuna and mahi mahi and couldn't bring them in fast enough! Otherwise, we all caught at least something. Stanley really does run a very good operation and his crew is wonderful. Plus, it's a fun day (or half day) out on the water! And you never know, you may be the lucky one to snag the big marlin!!
sounds fun....what day was you thinking?
There is a gentleman in Negril who quite often uses Stanley's fishing and here is what he caught. He is not in the photo.
Hubbie has enjoyed deep sea fishing once or twice in our previous trips and in December's trip they caught a bull shark but after hauling it in close to the boat it pulled free -

Hi all, thanks for the responses.
Yes, my 5th time to Jamaica - 2nd to negril. Have done the fishing there before, but not in Negril. One of us is somewhat concerned about sea sickness (I seem to be imune - but thats another story) - which is why we were looking at stanleys.
We're not booking now - but we'd like to book a 1/2 day while we're there in early april.
Just wondering what kinds of fish are "running" that time of year - mahi mahi and tuna is what I've heard.
Anyways, like I said its just the 3 guys so far, and we're looking for more to bring the price down.
IRIE!
