Exactly!! All in all, I really think the connection through Charlotte is great. Much easier than Atlanta airport IMHO. Charlotte airport is a hub for US Airways...definitely not too small but not as large as the Delta hub in Atlanta. Coming back home through customs there....seems to be quicker too.
