Do NOT ask a taxi "how much to......?" he'll suspect you have no clue and will probably try to take advantage of you. Always tell him how much your willing to pay and BE FAIR. Then absolutely don't budge. If he won't accept, the next taxi probably will.

In the old days number one rule , don't run a bar tab. Pay for drinks as they come. Tabs can add up with some bartenders....lol
