    LOL! Gotta love social media. Reminds me of a review posted on Catcha where they are blown up for not responding to the reviewers email. Problem was it was sent to the wrong address as well.

    Sorry Negrilbound, but taking this to a public forum without having direct contact speaks volumes.

    I understand your decision. I also have stayed at BCC and I have high regard for them. However, I do notice that the note attached also showed that one of their responses to you WAS from the email address that you used. So, even though I see the point of the others with their address.....seems as if BBC used bluecave@jamaicacw.com to respond to your deposit. One would think that if that address was used to respond and accept your deposit....then it would be answered by that one also.

    Now, if you heard back from them regarding the deposit on another email address, then maybe that could be it. With your documentation however, I would be put off by no response. A copy of an email can speak volumes. I have, in the past, had resorts not honor the room that I had reserved 9 months in advance. They wanted to move us 3 times. It took a copy of the email to have a room without moving and it still wasn't the one I reserved. Emailing does have its advantages.

    the cwjamaica e-mail comes from the online reservation system - not a live person. i'd bet that is the automatic reply from the rez system and is NOT the regular e-mail account actually monitored and used by live persons for communication.

    it's clear to me that your e-mails sent to the reservation system have not gotten through to them - that would be my first thought, not immediately jump to the conclusion that they are being negligent. That's never been their style, AND they have a clearly posted e-mail address on the website, which is the one intended for guest communications. imho you're being too quick to cop an attitude. Use the correct e-mail and you'll get a timely response. The staff at BCC is caring and responsive; in my experience Petrona doesn't just ignore guests. They have always responded in a timely manner to me, using the main e-mail address.

    The above responses are making a point. Yet, in all fairness to the person that posted...maybe he or she didn't realize that. Not trying to be taking one side or the other...just responding in how one might feel. I could well overstand how this could make one be frustrated. I was just making the point that.."we are all human and at times, it can be frustrating when someone doesn't respond". I have total respect for Petrona and BCC. I have stayed there and was totally happy with everything. Petrona is truly a sweetheart of a lady. Yet as with all of us, stuff happens. A message board is an open forum for the good and the bad.

    Things can happen...no doubt. Yet, sometimes we all can jump a little quickly...whether it is the person that posted or folks responding. Maybe the lesson to be learned is that we shouldn't jump to judge as Tarrus says in one of his songs. We are all in this board together, but, when we have a problem...we all must realize that even the best of resorts or the best of people....can have misunderstandings or as they say, "failure to communicate". Hopefully, this will be resolved yet all of us are again...only human. Blessings sent to all and hopefully this can all be worked out with dignity and respect.

    I agree, but would it not have been just as easy to come on here and ask what email address people used to contact them before taking things to this level?

    Xtabi was real good about responding to emails until I asked got cottage one or four... Being that we paid and its the slow seaso. It seems like they could accommodate or at least respond.. They replied to my other questions but apparently that one was too personal

    We had no problem with our BCC contact when we thought we would be staying there this year. They were prompt and answered all our questions within 24 hours. Dunno why anyone would start a thread like this without checking if HE got the contact details correct. I believe an apology would be in order!!!!
