    While I understand you have feelings about BCC, this does look like the same case as Catcha went through being responded to using an incorrect email. I have not heard their old email address being used in quite some time. The correct one has been been posted

    The OP received their answer and further postings will allow the thread to remain at the top of the board - causing the further damage that you are all saying you want to avoid....

    And Catcha was a sponsor, so both sponsors and non sponsors are being treated alike.

    Rob, it's not just that it will remain at the top of THIS board. it's that this erroneous information will be seen by anyone doing a google search. that's the potential for damage here.

    now if it was actual useful information about a place to avoid because they really ARE doing something unacceptable, that would be different. but they're not.

    it's not just about ppl having 'feelings' about the place - it's about general fairness and honor in business practices. it's just not right to leave slander-ish statements out there for the whole world to see when it's not true.

    If you take the time to read the exchange the OP posted, they received a confirmation and replied to that confirmation:

    Subject: Fw: Confirmation Report/reschedule"

    If you notice, the return email address is bluecave@cwjamaica.com and not their info@bluecavecastle.com. This is a problem with their online reservation system. This is something that the Blue Cave Castle needs to fix. They set up the Webervations system and seem to be using the incorrect reply email address. Only they can correct this information and this is extremely useful for them to know and to correct the reply email address.

    How many other reservation have they lost due to not responding since their email address is incorrect? This is just the first person who has taken the time to post about it and let others, including the Blue Cave Castle know. I have helped many hotels set up their Webervations system and know exactly how to correct this error.

    So, in fairness, the OP has every right to make their post. The problem with the online reservation was created by Blue Cave, not the OP.

    Perhaps all the folks that think this post is unfair would be spending their time better letting Blue Cave know they have a problem with their online reservation system...

    Though I shouldnt have to spend my time doing this, on the BlueCaveCastle.com website, I am still able to get into Online Reservation system and make an reservation request and below is the screen information that just came up when I did that. From this, I would properly guess that 1) my reservation request was sent and 2) someone will contact me to confirm the reservation request:

    Someone will contact you to confirm the reservation request.

    But if, as you say, you are getting "deactivated account" message, wouldnt it be advantageous for the Blue Cave Castle to remove the Online Reservations link from their website rather than let people know their account has been deactivated?

    I simply dont see how informing people of a problem with the Blue Cave Castle online reservation system, when one indeed exists, is somehow the problem of the OP?

    The OP is entitled to post the truth, just as was done in the recent Rick's thread. And funny enough, no one asked for that thread to be removed or the Catcha wrong email thread for that matter. Facts and truth are always welcome on Negril.com - but there will never be any room for rumor and speculation as they serve no purpose at all. The OP wrote:

    The OP stated the facts. He did not resort to name calling, his emails became more justifiably heated as he realized that he was not going to receive a reply or a refund, and he posted his emails just as he wrote them. Could he have done it better? According to some he could have, just as I am sure there are some out there that really see no reason for you to say "LOL. What a way to do it..." - could the OP have phrased it differently? Yes he could have, just as you could have. But there is no reason to remove the thread because of this.

    As for your PM, in addition to all the other duties I perform, the additional time I have had to spend on this today has prevented me from getting back to you yet.
