I hadn't checked the exchange rates since booking for next month, nice to see that it's a bit better than our last visit in September, about 10% more for your USD. Another reason to use JMD not USD, better prices.

Heck of a lot better than this time last year....I believe it was like 86/1 last year....using my beer calculator, that's about one more red stripe per 20 spot

Keep in mind that while it may seem like a good deal for us it makes everything more expensive for Jamaicans. When I first went to Negril in 1999 the rate was 50 to 1, now it's almost double that but I guarantee wages have not kept up with costs.

Yeah what's good for the tourist/visitors isn't always good for the locals that's for sure.

We always exchange at the Cambio when we get to Negril after exchanging Canadian for US here in Canada. So we get dipped a few times. Last year we were pretty close to par over even over a bit and I don't think it cost me very much. This year it was 56 dollars to exchange a 1000 CDN to a 1000 USD.

When I first went to Jamaica the Canadian dollar was worth like 86 Cents US.
