This is only our third time but it was a super visit! Highlights?

Staying at Westender. We all have our sweet spot and that's ours. Memories of our balcony view get me through times of trouble. I love love love staying in the country and there's great people around, including long term staff and super new ones. It feels like a community.

Going to Jackie's next door for sublime massage.

Four days in Treasure Beach...staying at Sunset Resort, taking trip to Billy's Bay for awesome food at Strikeys one evening.

First time dinner at ivans...they delivered the goods even though there was a wedding.

Ok...I read about the fish tacos at Wild Parrot but no one mentioned the SHRIMP ones. They, along with the giant chocolate chip cookies made up our favourite meal, so good we actually went back last day!

We had kitchen so we made up a few meals, a lot of snacks and beers on our own. Had lobster, veggie and garlic shrimp pizza from Ciao.

Had a great lunch at Canoe, really enjoying the vibe there.

Finally...the welcoming, energetic, kind, funny and helpful Jamaicans who share their community with us all. The staff at Westender go out of their way but everyone we came in contact with was great. We brought Jamaica newbies and they're already planning their Xmas return, a family trip instead of presents.

We are retired now, money is tight. Not sure if we get to go back but we will always be grateful for our experiences there and the opportunity we've had and thanks also to everyone on this board who shares their experiences.
