I arrived on Wed Mar 13 at 2:30 pm with 3 other flights and I think it took us all of 30 min to get through customs ... I had been thinking about paying for the arrival service and was very glad I didn't .. it would have been a waste of money. I find the airport is much busier in Feb than in March

Do you have to be booked w/the hotel for that? Does that include your ride? A person could get a red plate once in Negril. We arrived with 7 other planes within a hour and it TOTALLY overwhelmed the airport. 3+ hours. Everything went smooth and irie. But I would pay extra. Extra money to be in paradise...No problem mon.

limeex2, no you do not have to book it through your hotel, although some vacation packages offer it as an option, and no it does not include your ride. If the airport is busy it is well worth it imho. Especially the departure lounge, worth getting to the airport early for.

Trip #50 ? or ??? and have mostly travelled outside of the weekend. My most recent trip two weeks ago during a peak time and on a Saturday rendered a huge crowd and line up continued up the ramp but we were through in 35 minutes. Departure was about 10 minutes and whomever said there was no immigration check on the way out back home was incorrect or the "daily prize winner", showed my passport to the desks as usual and proceeded to the security checkpoint/scanner.

I agree with Captaind... take it in. Slow down. Ease up. We have had no lines, we have been in line. Regardless of the wait - it's always worth it.
