An Apology...

I received an email from a fellow boardie expressing shock at my post on this thread. I frankly did not know what they were talking about until I checked...

It took me many years to NOT get behind the wheel of a car after consuming alcohol but I battled those demons. Clearly, I need to work on new ones & not drink & post.

What I said was terrible & it makes me sad that I would say those things. I have not read the responses on this thread but I am sure I took a verbal thrashing & it was deserved. I take responsibility and ask forgiveness. POST RESPONSIBLY.

Whats the story on going to bars and dealing with local girls? Any tips? I dont want to get in trouble?

you won't get into any trouble as long as you act normal and respectful to those around you........
the girls will find you......you don't have to worry about finding dem........
and you won't be solo for long if you don't want to be......lol
and just be careful if you start buying beers/drinks as it usually doesn't stop till your broke....lol
personally mi gave up buying drinks a long time ago...
though they still ask sometimes...some things just don't change.......
saying NO nicely usually does the trick with the gurls...
though sometimes you need to say NO more than once...lol

True story....Last reach was at Tonys Hut....I saw this little boy so I had some little gifts I give out to the kids.....He is standing out front by this lady....So,I pull out the toy and ask "is this your son?"
She gives me this Nasty Nasty look??? I then realize she um was a "working" girl". The father was next door?

I think she thought I was being sarcastic but I kinda got red faced.....The kid still got the toy.

I think it's important to consider that the prevalence of HIV infection is almost three times that in the U.S.
Please also consider that an estimated 5% of 'sex workers' in Jamaica are infected ....... that's 1 in 20 are infected......I'd rather play the lotto with odds like that!!

My guess would be that it's a derogatory term for "working girl" in the sex trade business that starts w/ wh. Just had a bust here in Tampa the other day at a "massage parlor" &, big surprise, the young girls were not licensed massage therapists & seemed to be working pretty much against their will. Most likely they had been duped into believing they'd have a nice, respectful job when they came to the states. Sadly this happens all over.

I have many female friends in JA who would be highly offended by the statement that they are all of that ilk. They are hard workers who provide for their children. I'm sure not all Jamaican women who go to bars are all ****** any more than women who go to bars in the states or Canada.

Sorry...I dont get the "hysteria" of a guy wanting to utilize the oldest profession in history. So,If I wanted a "pro" in NY I would be insulting every woman in America??????? Not all "working girls" do it against their will. It's a victim less crime. He wants a service,she is willing to provide for a price. Simple reality.
