LOL jeez Flip
This is a highly sensitive subject for anyone who knows anything about it and happens to care....
But Fredstripe, you might use those your internet skills sometime to educate yourself on the facts about human trafficking and the sex industry.....unless its more convenient for you to leave your blinders on. It can be pretty shocking
Stir IT UP
Figures....Do you drive a car? Folks die every day in car accidents but we still drive right? Why? Because it's not perfect. Yes,I agree that there is forced slavery but there are also "volunteers" who supply a need...For Centuries ,always have and always will. Thats history talking, not me.....
This is true
I saw a white lady on the beach, kinda 45sh,kinda chubby,tourist....She was walking hand in hand with a local "working man" (right?) she seemed happy. Maybe she no longer has a husband, maybe he died and once a year she gets to have a male companion and goes back to Negril where she went with her husband?
Some dont approve? So what ! She chose, just like the worker did....She is happy....
wha gwan................ It takes a BIG MAN to come back and offer an Apology............ty
"I'll love you till the stars fall out of the sky "
:cool
'Chubby' is well-appreciated in Jamaica! Different strokes for different folks Jamaica:America
I find it more amusing that everyone assumes the girl is "working" if they're with a tourist.
Both of the times I've been to Jamaica I've met local women my age(26) and both times they didn't ask for anything. That said I definitely paid for dinner/drinks, but that's the same as if I was at home.
Are there women selling themselves? Definitely, but it happens in every country and every economy in the world and it needs to be legalized and regulated.
People really need to have "rules" laid out for them when they travel?
I could see if it's some obscure law in a country that you might not know about, but really just use common sense especially when you're traveling solo.
So If I accept reality I dont care? Do the working girls & guys exist? Yes.....Do they get paid to help them live?Yes.Do they spend that money back into the community? Yes?
