There are a lot of girls who are "Working". They are pretty easy to identify. Be careful. You might think you are having a nice friendly conversation and then they might ask for money for their time. I know this, because I have spent several drinking nights with single guys hanging around Negril and I have witnessed these things happen.
If I were you, I would be very careful about letting someone spend the night who you do not know. You might wake up with your possessions gone. This is not a tip only for Jamaica, but anywhere you are looking for a lady of the night. If you do find an enjoyable companion and decide to consummate the relationship... Your best option is probably to to give them money for a cab and have them leave before you go to sleep. This also eliminates that awkward moment the next morning, when you are all hungover and you look over and say "What have I done?!"
