I just arrived back in winnipeg after spending a week at Jays Hideaway. This is my second stay at Jays so i need to let everyone know about this hidden gem. I have been vacationing in Jamaica and specifically Negril for the past 20 years. I have spent time on the beach and time high in the west end.
This is , to me the most ideal spot in Negril. Pretty much dead central. I am minutes from the sea. In fact, there is a beautiful beach at the Canoe Bar that is steps from your location. Jays Hideaway is situated on Westland Mountain road and is canadian/jamaican owned. Although i have never met Jay, his wife Judith is an awesome host. Helpful in any way you may need if you are a first timer or even an experienced traveller. She KNOWS the area. The accomodations are clean and have everything you will need for your stay. Specifically kitchenettes, which do come in handy if you need to fry up a couple eggs the odd morning. Most importantly, i feel safe in this home as she has it properly secured. Actually even more important are her rates. Very accomodating. I will be back.....real soon!
