    Last bit of deliciousness

This is the last bit of delicious cake, delivered to me every few days by the wonderful cake lady -- who walks up and down the beach, in her sneakers and long dress, carrying a large covered cardboard box of her homemade cake on her head. Most of your know who she is. Priceless. This is the German chocolate with pecan caramel frosting. May be the best thing I've ever put in my mouth. She's my new Jamaican friend - what a lovely lady.Name: GermanChocCake.jpg

OMG does that ever look good!! And no doubt, fresh (not bagged or store bought) coconut is used. Nothing better with a good hot cup of blue mountain coffee!! Except maybe adding a likkle rum cream to that coffee...

Yes she is a lovely woman and LOVES to talk - LOL She said that the German Chocolate cake is the most expensive for her to make so you were luck to get some.

She bakes everything fresh in the morning then walks the beach at night so look out for her. She is definitely one of the hardest workers I've seen.

Hey Lady Jane -- I asked for her at White Sands first day. That night she appeared right in front of my nose at Seasplash. Maybe she sells 2 cakes day, because she came to Seasplash all three times at around 7 pm, and she always had at least 3./4 of a cake. I bought a lot each time ; ) First day she had banana, next time it was carrot - both without frosting and both really moist and good -- not just that night but for several days. I asked about her chocolate cake and she said it was more expensive to make, and she didn't like to make it and lose money by not selling all. Several of us on the deck bought the German Chocolate that night, so I think she made out ok. Lady Jane could you send me that picture by email? Would love to have in my collection.

God bless this sweet lady. She is willing to work hard and earn a living and not make excuses and ask for handouts, saying there are no jobs...blah, blah rah, rah. you just have to get off your rear and make it happen!!
