Oh good question.

No. We were at FLL the weekend that the news was claiming long lines at ports of entry in Florida due to the sequester. There were tons of people which is normal since it is a cruise ship port. But no security lines that we saw. We breezed through. Since we were disembarking from a cruise we went through customs at the ship.

It probably is another media-induced story meant to increase ratings. But, I had to ask. Anyone experience Atlanta's Jackson-Hartsfield down and back?
My son came back from Negril last week through Atlanta and customs and immagration only took like 10 minutes to get through and get rescreened by TSA after rechecking their bags....He said they had no delays going down or coming home.....

Saw a news story recently (network nightly news) that there was up to a 4 hour wait to get through customs in Miami one day & things got pretty ugly. Obviously, that meant folks were missing their connections & that does not make for happy travelers. I hope that is the exception, not the new norm.
