I would think Red Stripe and Rum Punch would be the most popular, but a visit to Xtabi for a Dirty Banana can really sway you in Negril ....
Although I do enjoy my Dragon Stout and Appleton golden special Rum and Ting, my favorite Jamaican drink is that REAL rum punch made with white rum, Myers rum, Orange Juice, A bit of Lime, and a dash of Grenadine, served in a tall glass with maybe three ice cubes. Cool not cold. That was the drink that everyone got the minute they entered the terminal at MBJ, back in the day. It's like drinking a bit of the Old Road to Negril if you know what that means.
Red Stripe and Rum Punch. Each place/bartender has their own version of Rum Punch. Some are better than others but each one I've had has is good in its own way. I drink a lot of Red Stripe at home (it's brewed in Latrobe PA for US distribution...I believe Ting is also bottled in PA too). Some say the US Red Stripe tastes different. I disagree but anything in Ja. does tastes better by default.
