Thank you for that very interesting article, Gail. WOW-lotsa money for water!!!!!
We are staying on the West End & trying to do our share to conserve by not wasting water while we brush our teeth, wash, & only flushing when necessary! This is a good reminder of something many of us take for granted. Thank you.

wata has been a big issue for us on the West End since the start of December........
some days no wata.......some days a trickle........and then some days or nights the wata flows.......
Negril seriously needs to upgrade their wata system..........
it is pretty antiquated for the local residents....
most resorts have their wata systems setup corectly so it doesn't affect dem at all.......
wata will be alright for everyone from around the beginning of May till December.....except for ATI in August
dat mi rant for da day......lol

Update on Water issue - Negril gets help!
NEGRIL, Westmoreland - MINISTER of Water, Land, Environment and Climate Change Robert Pickersgill yesterday announced a raft of measures to be implemented, in an effort to alleviate the acute water woes being experienced in Negril and its environs.
Among the slew of short-term initiatives, Pickersgill disclosed, is the immediate deployment of four additional units to augment the two already trucking water to the affected areas.

Negril.com - For the vacation that never ends!
Water was a slight issue when we stayed in December, early January; but apparently has become worse. That sure is a buncha cash! I've heard that water is the new oil, and, in Negril, it looks like that's true.
Thanks Gail for posting this thread!
