For the Wild Parrot Boardie Bash event on April 26 we are happy to accept doantions for St. Anthony's Kitchen downtown. We serve about 120 meals a day five days a week. Anthony's Annex, a thrift shop, is just next to the Kitchen. We also, in collaboration with moms and thelocal Rotary Club, sponsor 36 children to Get To School and we run a school bus in the morning and afternoon carrying children to Mt. Airy All Age and Negril All Age Schools. Well, then there is breakfast--on school days the Kitchen serves up breakfast to aboout 40 children on he way to school! I used to be a teacher and I know that a hungry kid doesn't learn. We welcome your support. Cash is always great. Clothing (used or new--shoes, underwear, pants, shirts, etc), school supplies, toys, games. Maybe you could stick a backpack in your luggage--they are needed for school. Trust me, there is nothing that you could bring that would not be used--even snowshoes! Someone would find some ingenious use even for them. Looking forward to meeting everyone and thanking ou in advance! --Fr. Jim
