I just wish people would quit trying to change Jamaica (Negril). It is what it is and that is why we love it so. Is not Disneyland,Vegas, Russia, CANADA! or the U.S leave it alone please before you turn it into a tourist trap like everything else!

Been coming to Negril for 30 years, never seen a square sausage or black pudding supper anywhere.
And I've never been able to buy a deep fried Mars Bar!!!

Rise early, treat everyday as though it's your last and your last day as it's your first.
There actually was a Scottish restaurant in Negril for a while - called Hallzer's. It was run by Scots Al. Here is a Negril Today page I posted for them back in November 2002:

And there was no problem, the restaurant didnt turn Negril in Vegas or Disneyland... (grin)

Spottycatz LOL :-). Maybe Jerk Haggis ?
I Go to.....
Brooklyn for cheesecake
Manhattan for fine dining
Harlem for soul food and fish/ chips
Bronx for Spanish food
IHOP for pancakes
Sports bar for Football/ beer/trash talking
Mom for childhood favors
And Jamaica for ........well you know.
Yes, there will still be plenty of Jamacian food everywhere( I usually go in the hills to eat authentic Jamaica food), but what's next.
I wish investors will leave Negril the way it is. I know it's going to change, because making money supersedes tradition and originality. When it becomes to much for me, I'll look elsewhere. The more I think about it, maybe I'm being selfish. God for give me.
Rob, I agree with not going to Kingston. Thats why I never went. Been to just about every Parish except Kingston. And to clarify myself, Nothing is wrong with Kingston. I just have no desire to go there since I live in a big city.
True! Usually after about a week in Negril, while I LOVE the food, I long for a good burger. Thank God there are now good places to get a good burger (and pizza) in Negril. No different than other folks craving their native foods.
so why do people ridicule her simply pointing out to Jamaican business people that Russians spend money too?
So if we disagree were are ridiculing ?
