Re: Russians in Negril
Well, this is a difficult post to respond to. Business folks might want to accommodate the folks who have the bucks to visit. My husband spends months in Pattya each year and folks from Russia very much visit there, and spent money. Catering to certain tastes seems like a way that places either need to do or not.....depending on what their business plan is. For us we love Jamaican food. We would never go Italian in Negril, though I am sure there are many places that serve great food and pizza. For us, I cook. I am Italian and I don't go to Jamaica to eat Italian. I ate Italian in Rome, here at home, in Jersey I don't eat Italian if I can help it. A week, good god, deal, or go somewhere else where they have watered down versions of food you are used to having. I cannot stand all inclusive places that have international cuisine. Enjoy the local cuisine, it is wonderful. If you don't want what you usually have at home......stay home.....
We once went to a resort in the Dominican Republic that seemed to cater to European tastes, we hated the place. Not that we wanted hamburgers and French fries. But come on....eat what you want at home and enjoy a change of pace wherever you go.
