We went to the beach, period and exclamation point.
Weather indicated the earlier the better and that is what we did. While at the beach where we had met a few nice Canadian folks and about midday a guy come up carrying a Caribbean Lobster or in Mexico a Langosta.
It was Fireman wearing an oriental hat. I had read about him from the board. One of the Canadians ordered one which Fireman would cook and bring back to Point Village for the guy (Doug).
So as clouds moved (predicted in the forecast) in, we headed back to the room to relax and watch it rain from the balcony, which it did for quite some time and almost till dark. I had spoken with Fireman and found out where he was established at Our Pastime and after the rain ended we took a walk to his location for dinner.
To walk to Our Pastime or basically to walk on Long Beach from Point Village you must first traverse Hedo right next door. I must say it was an interesting walk. Several people nude and some you would want to look at and some you might not want to not look at, if you get my drift. Beautiful people and not so beautiful people but they are all “just people” doing their thing! Jamaica and they are letting it “hang out”
So after the scenic tour through Hedo you still have a ways to walk to get to Fireman at the Our Pastime location, but it is an easy walk and through several AI hotels Sandals, etc. When you break out of the AI you are almost there. The selection of lobster, location, meal cooked by Fireman was excellent. Basically you pay Fireman for the lobster meal and Our Pastime bar for your drinks or at least that was our experience.
Walk back after dark is pretty much safe with just a short area to traverse that is not under security. We had absolutely no problem the first night other than some security checking to see where we were from and going and at Hedo they had to open the gate to let us in, but “no problem mon”!
Again ending with pictures.
