We always go to the Hi Lo as soon as we get in Negril, before we go to our room. We go to the bank and get groceries and coffee right off. Then we go check in to our room. That way we carry everything in at once and don't have to leave the beach again for awhile.

Be aware of the liquor store prices at Mega Mart. Their Rum, Vodka and rum creme prices are very high compared to the Hi Lo in negril. They appear to be a warehouse priced store but not in the liquor store which is in separate room.

Hi PEI ( neighbour). Yes buy your liquor at Duty Free before departure. Vodka $18CDN/liter. Rum is pretty cheap in Negril, you can always buy it there

Well, we do that too LOL

I wasn't crazy about the Mega Mart, I found it too big. I think we'll ask Rocky to take us to the MoBay HiLo, then we're done when we get to Negril.

    Thanks everybody for the input!

I like the Mega Mart, have used both of them. IDK if it was the situation, but I preferred the Mega Mart. I love not having to go to the store after check in!

Rina, Mega Mart has a Scotia ATM right inside. Also, there is a Lime desk inside, but I topped up online already.

This time we are planning on going to the Megamart in MoBay first though, with a 3 week stay we are going to need to really stock up on supplies. There is a Scotiabank we will stop at close to there. Also plan on stopping at Lime and topping up the phone while in MoBay.
Then it's off to Negril with no muss, no fuss the next morning.
It's coming so quickly now ........ see you soon

We prefer Mega Mart - it is not really out of the way as you head towards Negril. There is a Scotia ATM there . I have no trouble finding anything and the selection is the best. It does not take that long to be in & out - if you are shopping with a purpose and list. And there is some great take away food in their little Cafe.! To each their own !

The Scotia ATMs .... How do they work? My bank charged out the arse when I used my debit card to pay for my hotel last year. Is the HiLo in Mobay outta the way?

And PGW ... where is this Quality Traders you speak of?
