Don't Stop the Music - Take It Home!

One of the great things about Jamaica, is the Beat! The ever-present sounds and rhythms of our island!

There is such a rich culture of music there! Why not bring some home! A great place to go is PALANZINA Records and Clothing, located in the Vendor's Mall. It's the yellow and green structure, 2 story, a short walk towards the cliffs from the Hi-Lo Mall.

Wayne is amazing! He knows the island music and can set you up just fine with some great CD's to take home. They won't put you over your airline weight limit, and make great gifts, if you care to part with any! He knows the island music and has great CD's and some pretty awesome old vinyl in great condition - he had an old Yellowman that if I had a turntable I would have bought in a heartbeat. He is also great a mixing your sound - that is, if you like this internationally well-known artist, you will probably like this artist too, who is not so well known off the island, but has much the same style as the one you want. With his excellent prices, you will likely walk out with both! Not sure you'll like it? He will gladly play you some of that artist or CD while you're there. Go early in your trip as if he doesn't have what you want in stock, he can usually get it in within a few days!

Give Wayne a visit! Great guy. Awesome CD's and music and seriously reasonable prices!

He is also the only person in all my trips to Jamaica who saw me on the street and said "Hey! I know you" and it was true! He further explained that he had sold me a Richie Spice T-Shirt at the Yellowman Concert a few nights earlier because I was cold! He was right! Oh, yeah - he is often selling CD's and such at concerts. If it's Wayne, trust him! He's a good man!

And, please, say Hi to him from Maggie and Gary ... and tell him we'll for sure be in to see him late-June, early-July for more CD's to bring home and KEEP THE MUSIC PLAYING!

Nice Boardie Bash souvenir ... music to go with the rum you bring home. What a combo!

Tabernuche, PGW! (It's OK, Rob - Tabernuche is the French equivalent to "shoot!"). We just got electricity in 2010! But we have legalized insulin! See, we're ahead of the game here ... well, we were until the last election, anyway! Sliiiiiiide back!

So go to Wayne for inspiration for net downloads! He knows the unknowns, which is really great, too!

P.S. After 2 pum runches and a Stred Ripe, the languages blend together comprehensibly, for some odd reason!

Tabernac is sort of OK if you don't fill in the "le" at the end. Then it becomes the French equivalent of the "F" word! Verb conjugations tomorrow at 2!!!! "Negril.com/learn-a-second language-Asp/*/asp" dude! for more info! Love Maggie!

Oh Sooooo true. Wayne introduced me to some wonderful new artists, Glen Washington and a few others that have become my new favorites, he really knows his music . I also bought a couple of great cook books from him and found one of the best Books on Jamaican artists I have seen. I also picked up a very cool Peter Tosh T shirt. Like many of you I love supporting local business and especially when I find someone who is as passionate about what he is doing as this guy is. check him out, you will be greated with a smile and I'm sure you'll have a good time and take home some great sounds. One note about location, the vendors plaza is toward the round about from Hi Lo , it's next to the empty lot by the corner bar.

    Enjoy
