HiLo accepts US but your change will be provided in Jamaican.
They do take US dollars, but will give you any change in JA. We will sometimes buy a loaf of bread with a US $100 just to get some JA $ when the cambio is closed.
EVERONE takes US currency!
You will get JD in change. Which shouldn't be an issue.....

you'll loose out though on the exchange rate if you don't pay in J's.......
better off hitting either NCB ATM right next door or going to FX Trader next door for J's.....
