I've stayed at both and they are very different experiences , that being said I prefer Catcha mostly because of the view and the food.

I would never stay anywhere but Seastar.
It offers the best value for money in Negril. Huge rooms, a great restaurant, wonderful people, gorgeous landscaping, fab pool and swim up bar, generous owners, free beach transfers, free breakfast, wi fi, guest computer, multi channel cable t.v., powerful air conditioning, hammocks on every balcony or terrace. How's that for a run on sentence.

Chris who's been there for more than 25 years and Francine who has lived there all her life are part of the town and give back to the community every chance they get, from paving Seastar Lane to providing the neighbors on the lane with trash enclosures not to mention having the local kids in for a swim once in a while.

Security is strong people watch your back and I'd just rather give my money to them than a guy from Boston.

Just my opinion of course and nothing against Catcha or Harry for that matter.

With money not being considered....Catcha for sure. With that said, Seastar is really a good bang for the buck...so to say. There is NOTHING better than being cliffside on the wata. Nothing........If I had the bucks...I would definitely be on the water. Irregardless of your decision, the west end rocks! Enjoy to the max.

jesswade, we got back 3 weeks ago, did Seastar, then Grand Pineapple....and it was divine....walked across street to Tensing Pen, and actually spent one of our days there..you might find Seastar hard to book

pwj155 - great pic!!!!!! I am soooo jealous! Big Frank, thats exactly what I was looking for, thank you. Chigirl - isn't the food amazing!? This sounds funny, with everything else they have, but I love the coleslaw - I tried to replicate it at home with no luck....every meal we had there was delish! We never made it to breakfast, too jacked from the night before! Lispat, we've never split a trip before, kinda nervous about it...i'm glad to hear you've done the same trip. Thanks everyone for your thoughts and ideas!
